Detailed Itinerary of the 4 Days Kibale Chimps and Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Arrive and Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park (Game Drive)
You arrive at the Entebbe Airport where you meet our company driver guide who takes you through a meet and greet session of the 4 days Wildlife and chimpanzee trekking safari then later transfer you to the western part of Uganda before Mbarara Town at Lake Mburo National Park.
You shall transfer for a period of 2 to 3 hours watching the green terrain vegetation, Ankole Cattle then when you reach the park, enjoy a Game Drive watching wildlife animals like zebras, impalas, elands, buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, leopards, hyenas, hippos and more than 300 bird species.
After the Game Drive, you shall break off for lunch then later proceed on an afternoon boat cruise along Lake Mburo where you watch many hippos beneath the water as well as crocodiles. After the cruise, proceed to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mburo Safari Lodge.
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Breakfast in the morning then embark on transfer to the vast green beautiful Kibale Forest National Park located in the western part of Uganda before Fort Portal Town. You shall transfer for a period of 3 to 4 hours watching the green terrain, bird species as well as have lunch en-route.
After a while, you shall reach the park at the park headquarters at Kanyanchu Visitor’s Center where you register if you shall trek Chimpanzees the next day. After registration, you shall proceed to the lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Kibale Forest Camp.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking at Kibale Forest National Park
Early morning breakfast then transfer to the Park headquarters for precise briefing on conduct around the chimpanzees. On reaching here, you are welcomed by park rangers who take you through precise briefing on conduct around the Chimpanzees as they inform you about the vast Kibale Forest National Park as well as the various chimpanzee communities available to be trekked in the park.
After the precise briefing, you shall be located into groups of 8 with lead ranger guides who transfer you to the starting points where you leave from to enter the green forest to trek the chimpanzees for a period of 2 to 4 hours. You shall follow varying trails in the forest vegetation as you traverse from one point to another until you meet the chimpanzees and stay in their presence taking many photos to keep. After trekking the chimpanzees, you shall return to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Kibale Forest Camp.
Day 4: Departure to Entebbe Airport
Breakfast in the morning then with all your luggage transfer on departure to Kampala or the Entebbe International Airport to board your flight back home.
